Back to work for the Flames

The All Star break was nice.  It was sad to not have the Flames represented in the event but it does allow the team to rest and get back to work tonight.

I am glad that the Flames are back in action so quickly after the break.  I am very excited at the return.  Looking forward I am getting more excited for the Heritage Classic.  I will say I find it odd that the US is doing hockey weekend across America that weekend.  I would have liked all the attention to go to the Heritage Classic and Calgary hosting.

Things that I am looking forward to aside from hockey being back and the Heritage Classic is the Trade Deadline.  I hope that the Flames can find that piece or two to solidify the roster.  I think that we are seeing portents of things to come with the waiving of Conroy prior to the All Star Break.

Now we just will wait and see if Conroy reports to the Heat and hopefully we will know soon.  The AHL All Star events were also this weekend.  The Heat were represented in the AHL All Star game by TJ Brodie.  He did fairly well in his first AHL all Star event.
