Calgary Flames Fun

With the stress of the looming trade deadline, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos. So, to relieve some of the distress and put a few smiles on the faces of my fellow Flames fans, here’s a little fun from the Flames website that I’d like to share…

Isabella, the Sun Rookie Reporter, interviewed Joe Colborne in January. Here is the video of their discussion about Colborne’s favorite NHL player, hockey injuries, and the significance of being at a game rather than watching it on television.

Recently, Reto Berra and Joe Colborne showed Kristin Hallat of Flames TV the technical aspects of a shootout from both perspectives. In this video, we can see the finer points of having a plan through the eyes and mind of Joe Colborne as well as how to read the movements of a shooter from Reto Berra.

And what’s a little friendly competition among teammates. In this article, Mikael Backlund, a Sweden native, is forced to wear Team Canada gear after he lost a bet in the final round of the Olympics.

In my opinion, one of the best parts of the Calgary Flames team is their ability to smile and joke around in the most stressful times. These are the guys who I want my son to look up to because they are true role models.
