Shea Weber and the Buffalo Sabres are at the Saddledome tonight. The Flames will try to bounce back after a terrible loss to Phoenix while Buffalo will try to end their six-game losing streak. The Flames will be looking to squeeze past the Islanders in 26th position in the league standings if they can gain two points.

The Sabres last win was on March 6th against the Lightning with a final score of 3-1. They were shutout by the Habs on Sunday, March 16th. Buffalo is in last place in the Atlantic Division and the league standings with 46 points.

According to the Flames website, Matt Stajan could return to the line-up tonight. The projected line-up has him on the third line, centering Brian McGrattan and Curtis GlencrossJoni Ortio gets the nod in net tonight while T.J. Brodie and Mark Giordano start on the blue line. Our injury list is lengthy as Dennis Wideman, Karri Ramo, David Jones, Jiri Hudler, and Markus Granlund are still out for tonight’s game.

The Flames need this win tonight if they hope to move up in the standings. Based on the past couple months, and their no-quit attitude during each and every game, I have high hopes for tonight’s match-up.

Go Flames Go!
