Calgary Flames Hot Start to the Morning Vol 4

Good morning Flames fans.  August long weekend hopefully means many of you get to sleep in a little bit on a Saturday morning.

Today’s roundup starts with a correction to an article I posted last night.  Originally the article written about the Calgary Flames re-located AHL team included three prospects I figured would start with Adirondack.  I have since been politely corrected about Morgan Klimchuk’s eligibility to play in the AHL.  The article is now about two Calgary Flame prospects who I figure will start with Adirondack.  As I am (admittedly) new to the Calgary Flames as a fan, starting on Tuesday August 5th, I will begin a series called “Re-Introducing the Calgary Flames”.  Hopefully the great fans of Calgary, will continue to politely help me through this learning curve.

Yesterday’s “hot start” included a poll asking “Which two Calgary Flame offensive prospects will be here Opening Day and beyond?”  Johnny Gaudreau and Sven Baertschi were the top two vote getters.

T.J. Galiardi signed a one-year, two-way contract yesterday with the Winnipeg Jets.  Since reading that news, I have had the following song stuck in my head.

Lastly this morning, NHL.com has commenced their 30 teams in 30 days preview.  Here is a tweet showing the entire schedule for the month of August.  The Calgary Flames will be previewed on August 25th.
