Good morning Calgary Flames fans!

Late last night Flame For Thought re-introduced Lance Bouma to the family.  Bouma is known for work ethic and knack for blocking shots.  In his first full season in the NHL last year (he has played in parts of a total of three seasons) Bouma chipped in 5 goals.  Currently, Bouma is still un-signed by the Calgary Flames.  Bouma is a restricted free agent.  IF the Calgary Flames do not re-sign Bouma it’s because the club would want someone with more offensive upside in the lineup.  As easy as that is to say, the question would be whether or not the Calgary Flames lineup could stand to lose his defensive contributions.

Yesterday via Twitter, Flame For Thought asked the family: what is your one (1) bold prediction for the upcoming Calgary Flames season? THANK YOU very much to all of you who responded.  Here are the top three I selected to share:

The update on the free agent sweepstakes surrounding Kevin Hayes: 3 days into free agency, nothing to report but a boatload of teams trying to acquire his services including our Calgary Flames.  Kevin Hayes is the Boston College hockey star who played alongside current Flames Johnny Gaudreau and Bill Arnold during those college years.

Have a great day Flames fans!
