Good morning Calgary Flames fans!

In case you missed it our Calgary Flames defeated the Arizona Coyotes 4-3 in overtime last night in Sylvan Lake.  Curtis Glencross scored the overtime winner by tipping down a point shot by Kris Russell.

Ranking the Top 3 Calgary Flames last night – – Johnny Gaudreau, Brett Kulak, and Joe Colborne.  Honourable mentions go to – – Markus Granlund and Sven Baertschi.

Gaudreau collected the Flames first three shots on goal and always seemed to make something happen when he had the puck.  Kulak played a solid game in both ends of the ice and is easily the Flames defensive prospect of September thus far.  Colborne was entrusted with being the main centre ice man on penalty kills plus as much ice time as he could handle.  He handled both very well.

The 3 Calgary Flames who struggled the most last night – – David Wolf, Morgan Klimchuk, Sheldon Brookbank.

David Wolf and Sheldon Brookbank are heading to the AHL unless injuries and a 360 degree turnaround in their play occur.  Morgan Klimchuk will be WHL bound sooner than later.

Tonight the Calgary Flames play at the Dome against the Vancouver Canucks.  Expect a very different looking lineup from the squad that won in Sylvan Lake.  The game starts at 7PM local time.

Have a great day Flames fans!
