Flame For Thought wants to give you a chance to win a $150 Gift Certificate to Shop.Canada.NHL.com.  It’s a gift certificate because I don’t know if you want a jersey or a collection of hats and shirts.  The best part about the contest, whether this is your first season watching the Calgary Flames or you have seen every Flames game since 1980, the odds of winning are even!

The full rules to the contest (including the legal stuff) can be found on the front page of Flame For Thought on a black bar that says, “Staff Schedule Flame For Thought Contest…”.  For brevity sake this post will glance over the main points.

Every game an article will be written named “Flames First Goal of the Game Contest – – -SPECIFIC DATES”.  On occasions when the Flames play two games in back-to-back nights, you will be asked to provide answers for both games.

You will be asked “Which Calgary Flame will score the First Flames Goal of the Game FILL IN OPPONENT”.  You will also be asked “What time will the Calgary Flames score their first goal of the game”.

Answers must be submitted in the comment box of the thread on Flame For Thought.  Answers via Twitter or Facebook will not count in prizing contest.

If you are right, you get points.  Points, just like in the NHL, are good.  If you have the most points at the end of any month, you are invited to play in the final period in April for the $150 gift certificate.

More of a visual person are you? Maybe this video will help…

The contest will officially begin on Tuesday October the 7th at 5PM MT. The contest will officially end in April but your focus is on winning a month to be invited to play in April. Good luck throughout the season and thanks for playing.
