HERE is a link to NHL.com’s standings page…I’m sharing it because I love seeing our Calgary Flames in a playoff position!

Our Calgary Flames finished their early season road trip of death with a 4-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets to improve their record to 4-3 on the season.  HERE is Flame For Thought’s recap of the game.

If in the preseason I would have told our Calgary Flames would be over .500 with Sean Monahan being held goal-less would you have believed me?  What if during the preseason I would have told you Mason Raymond would have more goals (5) than Curtis Glencross(1), Mikael Backlund (1), and Jiri Hudler (2) combined?

If the internet is to be believed TJ Brodie is close to signing an extension with our Calgary Flames.  43% of Flame For Thoughts voters in THIS PRESEASON POLL would suggest any TJ Brodie signing is already too late.  Being quite facetious, if the Flames management have waited until now to try and finish the contract signing with Brodie, why not wait until he gets a point at the Dome first?  All 7 of his points thus far have been on the road.

TWO QUESTIONS:

1) Does coach Bob Hartley continue his goalie rotation and put Karri Ramo in net versus Tampa Bay on Tuesday? I figure yes.

2) If Josh Jooris is “healthy” enough to return to action on Tuesday, which Calgary Flame comes out of the lineup?  Devin Setoguchi seems to be the easy answer.

Have a great day Flames fans!
