Happy Saturday Calgary Flames fans! This week hasn’t been the best for this team, but there’s still one game left! Let’s look at some Flames news.

The Calgary Flames will be in Missouri tonight to face off against the St. Louis Blues. This will be the third and final meeting between the two teams. However, the last time that they played each other was in October, so it’s been a while.

Somebody who is familiar with the Blues is rookie Matthew Tkachuk. Since his dad, Keith Tkachuk, was captain and a valuable member of the Blues. Young Matty spent lots of time at that rink.

He missed the last two games to due a suspension for an elbow to the face of Drew Doughty. But just in the nick of time, he’s back in the lineup today to play against the Blues, where you know a bunch of his friends and family will be at this game.

"“It’s been tough, especially when you don’t come out on the right side,” said Tkachuk. “But you know, I’m not changing my game at all nor am I ever going to think about what happened during the play. I mean, it’s a hockey play, so I’ve done that a million times and I’m going to continue to do it a million more times.”"

I’m sure the 19-year old will be excited to join his buddies back on that 3M line and help them to a win, since this line has been Calgary’s most dominant and consistent line all season long.

And the rest of the team definitely felt the effects without Tkachuk in the lineup. They lost both games, their first pair of consecutive losses since January 24th. It’ll be nice to have him back in the lineup.

"“No question, he’s been a big part of our team and you guys all know that,” said coach Glen Gulutzan. “And to get him back and going with his line is a good step for us.”"
