Happy Saturday Calgary Flames fans! After an unfortunate loss in game 1, the Flames will be looking to bounce back tonight. Let’s check out some Flames news.

It’s a new day and a new game. The Calgary Flames may have lost game 1 against the Anaheim Ducks, but Flames fans are hopeful. According to a poll ran by Calgary Herald, Flames fans have lots of optimism for the team.

Not only do many of them think that the Flames will make it past the first round, but they also think the Flames will make it to the finals. I mean, I know that every fan base can have this false sense of hope, but hey. Everyone’s hopeful, can’t fault them for that.

Something that the Flames will be focusing on in game 2 is staying out of the sin bin. They need to if they want a shot at coming back to Calgary with a tied series.

"“Penalties kinda deflated us. It’s tough to get guys on the ice when you have that many penalties. Trying to get everyone out, it gets difficult. Your game gets out of sorts when you don’t know when you’re getting out there next.” – Johnny Gaudreau.“It was an even match, five-on-five. Both teams were playing well. The big difference is the amount of time we spent killing penalties. Take that away and we’ve got ourselves a pretty good hockey game.”- Michael Stone.“Our discipline’s been one of our biggest things the last few weeks but it’s tough when something happens out there to a teammate. I felt me, Monny and Johnny were skating well, moving the puck well. I thought we had our chances. We’ve just got to bury them.” – Micheal Ferland."
