Happy Friday Calgary Flames fans! The Flames season is over (boo) and now the Flames management will have some work to do during the off-season. Let’s check out some Flames news.

Welp, there’s no more Calgary Flames hockey until September. It was supposed to be game 5 today, but it was locker cleanup day instead. And today will be the last media day until the season starts up again. I’m not crying, you’re crying. But, a piece of fun news, the World Championships start May 5th and Johnny Gaudreau announced earlier today that he will be joining Team USA. So that’s something to look out for!

We can still watch our Flames play.

Mark Giordano said he’ll consider playing for Team Canada.

On to other things, since it’s the off-season now, the Flames will be busy. And again, like every other season, because it’s the Flames and they can never get this completely right, the goaltending situation will be in the works.

After the soft goal let in early by Brian Elliott in game 4 which led to an early goaltending switch, many people on Twitter said it’s the end of the Brian Elliott era. I personally disagree and I would like to see him re-sign with Calgary. He said so himself that he’d like to play for them again.

What do you think? Would you like to see Elliott back, or is he done for? At least the future of goaltending for Calgary looks quite promising.
