The Flames have just 10 games left in the NHL regular season, and after an extremely disappointing first 72 games, there is still hope to be had.

Let’s take a look at the latest betting odds for Calgary to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Flames playoff odds

At +300, oddsmakers are giving the Flames around a 25% chance of making the postseason. To be honest, I think that’s a great bet to place.

Grabbing one of the top three spots in the Pacific Division is hopeless, sitting 11 points back from the Edmonton Oilers, but a wild card berth is still very much in play.

The Flames currently sit just four points back from the Winnipeg Jets, who currently hold the final wild card spot in the Western Conference.

The Flames have plenty of favorable matchups down the stretch, including two games against the Sharks, two games against the Canucks, and one game against both the Ducks and the Blackhawks. That means six of their final 10 games will be against teams sitting in the bottom five of the conference.

The Flames will also play in an absolutely pivotal game against the Jets on April 5th, one that could catapult them into a wild card berth.

Don’t give up Flames fans, Calgary is still very much alive in the playoff race.
