It took 13 tries, but the Calgary Flames have finally won a road game since February 17. Three unanswered Flames goals sealed the deal for Calgary on Monday night with a little help from Joey MacDonald, who played outstanding, stopping 39 out of 40 shots.

Colorado’s Bradley Malone, scored the first goal of the game just 1:45 into the second period. The Flames turned it on from there. Roman Cervenka, netted his 6th of the season, while Cammalleri and Tanguay picked up their 12th and 11th respectively. Twenty-one year-old prospect, Roman Horak, tallied two assists in the win Monday. He now has 15 points in 71 NHL games played.

MacDonald earned the win posting a .975 save percentage on the night. Colorado’s Jean-Sebastien Gigure saved 31 of 34 shots the Flames tested him with.

Calgary is back at it Wednesday night as the Flames will play hosts to the always tough, Vancouver Canucks at 7:30p MT.
