We require, as a team, proper levels of pugnacity, testosterone, truculence and belligerence.”  The famous line from Nov. 29, 2008 by then Toronto Maple Leafs boss and current Calgary Flames President of Hockey Operations Brian Burke.

Good morning Calgary Flames fans!!  It’s always better waking up after a win isn’t it?

The Young Stars Tournament kicked off last night with our Calgary Flames Young Stars twice coming back from two-goal deficits to win 6-4.  The tournament is a chance for young players to show off their skill set.  Michael Ferland  and Keegan Kanzig performances last night would have both made Brian Burke smile.

The “goal of the tournament” may already have been scored by the likeliest of sources, Johnny Gaudreau:

Our Calgary Flames play the Edmonton Oilers tonight at 8:30PM MT.  OFFICIAL PREDICTION: Calgary Flames 2014 1st round pick Sam Bennett will score his first goal of the tournament.  If you have an official prediction please share in the comment box.  The game can be watched on the Calgary Flames YouTube channel.

Speaking of official predictions, Calgary Flames forward Ben Hanowski played the role of Swami yesterday with this tweet from morning skate about Josh Jooris:

Go Flames Go! Every chance to beat the Oilers, even if it’s in thumb wars, is always something to look forward to!

Have a great day Flames fans!
