Welcome to the 2nd edition of the Flame For Thought First Goal of the Game Contest.  Full contest details can be found HERE.

The simple explanation of the contest is as follows: for the upcoming game on Saturday October 11th versus the St. Louis Blues, you are asked to pick the first Calgary Flames  player to score a goal in the game AND what time the goal will be scored.  You get points for being correct and if at the end of October you have the most points, you are invited to Grand Prize month in April where you could win a $150 gift certificate to shop.Canada.nhl.com!  Monthly winners will receive a Flame For Thought keychain.

HERE WE GO! Please answer the following questions in the comment section below:

1) Which Calgary Flames player will score the Flames first goal on Saturday October 11 against the St. Louis Blues?

2) What time will the Calgary Flames score their first goal of the game on Saturday October 11 against the St. Louis Blues?

IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE!  If you choose the correct Calgary Flame scorer you automatically earn 2 points.  If more than one person correctly guesses the first scorer, whomever is closest to the time of the goal will earn another point.

CONTEST STANDINGS:

1. Paige Matlock 3 points

Nobody correctly guessed Paul Byron to score first on October 8, the season opener did not feature any points being earned in the contest.

Paige Matlock was the only person who predicted Mason Raymond would score first on October 9, so she got the 2 points being correct plus automatically earned the extra point for the time question.
