1. Edmonton Oilers
Erie (OHL). Connor McDavid. 1. player. 148. Not even the Oilers can mess up this pick.. Center
2. Buffalo Sabres
Center. Boston U (NCAA). Jack Eichel. 2. player. 12. Probably the easiest selection to make in the whole draft. The Oilers have to put some thought into McDavid vs. Eichel (though not much), but taking Eichel second is an absolute no brainer.
3. Arizona Coyotes
Erie (OHL). Dylan Strome. 3. player. 121. Coyotes GM Don Maloney recently spoke about how difficult it is to add good centers, so he won’t be able to pass up the chance to add the OHL leading scorer. Great combination of size and skill and will be the first line center of wherever this franchise moves to for many years.. Center
4. Toronto Maple Leafs
5. Carolina Hurricanes
109. Can play center or wing and adds a much needed offensive punch to a team with very little scoring depth.. Right Wing. London (OHL). Mitch Marner. 5. player
