Calgary Flames And Stampeders Reach A Deal

Earlier today, the Calgary Flames stepped up their involvement and ownership in the CFL franchise Calgary Stampeders.  Calgary Flames Limited Partnership is now the majority and operating partner of the Stampeders.

The 2008 Grey Cup champions have been in the city since 1935 have recently resigned their coach, John Hufnagel, to 5 year extension through the 2016 CFL season.  John Hufnagel has been with the team since 2008 and has managed to bring the team to the playoffs all four seasons he has been with the team.

The CFL season starts up July 1 at home against the Montreal Alouettes.
