Calgary Flames Mark Giordano Commercials

Every year they seem more and more abundant – those silly little commercials that feature some of our favorite NHL players. Some people like them, some don’t. I fall into the first category – I laugh at these commercials more and more each time they air during televised games. To me, they are a funny reprieve from the seriousness of the games that are played out each night. I like being able to watch the more comical side of our favorite players. I’m not saying that these guys should quit hockey to pursue acting, but it’s nice to see the lighter side of their personalities on tv.

Remember the Scotiabank commercial Jarome Iginla did, in which he was playing hockey with the kid in the driveway?

Or when Tim Thomas did the Discover Card commercial, in which he was sitting in the back of the taxi?

Or last year, when Mark Giordano did the ATB Financial commercial with the Green Men?

Last year’s commercials were funny, but this year they are even more funny. Mark Giordano has taken on more commercials for ATB Financial again. As well, Jordan Eberle has joined him to do an outtakes video that the company had posted on YouTube. Hilarity ensues! Congrats to the writers, directors, and everyone else involved in the creation of these commercials because, in my opinion, they are the funniest ones yet. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for next season.
