Good afternoon Calgary Flames fans! It’s another beautiful day in Calgary today where they’re welcome the Boston Bruins at the ‘Dome tonight.

The Calgary Flames will continue their home-stance against the Boston Bruins tonight. The Flames will be looking to extend their win-streak to 11 games. If they reach this 11-game mark, it’ll officially be a new franchise record. They’ve already beaten a Calgary Flames record by beating the eight-game win streak mark. And they’ve tied an original franchise record with their ten-game win streak.

This was back in 1978, when they were still the Atlanta Flames before they relocated to Calgary. So it’s been a while.

The Flames and Bruins have already met one other time this season in November where the Flames won 2-1. A big reason for this was Chad Johnson, who stopped 35 of 36 shots. He’ll be in net again tonight because Brian Elliott is out with an illness. I’m also dealing with a flu right now, so I’m sorry Elliott if I got you sick.

Some people are worried since Elliott has been absolutely incredible. I mean, best record by any goaltender since the end of January, incredible. But, the last game that Johnson played was over a month ago where the Flames won 3-2 in a shootout against the Pittsburgh Penguins where Johnson stopped 31 of 33 shots. So he had a pretty good game. But it’s also been a while since he played, so this may be a challenge for the team.

Johnny Gaudreau should have a fun game since him and Brad Marchand are bffs.

This is actually the last game that I mentioned when I wrote a “five games to circle in your calendar this season” so be sure to give that a read before tonight’s game here.

Speaking of Gaudreau, he had a lovely wrap-around goal where head coach Glen Gulutzan actually showed to his own son and said that it’s something “you can’t teach”.
