I follow Wil Wheaton on Twitter (@wilw) because I’m a complete nerd and he is the King of Nerds.
If you don’t recognize the name, he was Wesley Crusher on “Star Trek the Next Generation” and also starred alongside River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Jerry O’Connell and Kiefer Sutherland in the fanatastic “Stand By Me“. He also happens to be a hockey freak (as is movie director Kevin Smith of “Clerks”, “Zak and Miri Make a Porno”, and “Cop Out” fame. He’s AKA Silent Bob, and you can find him on Twitter as @ThatKevinSmith). Wheaton roots for the Kings, Smith is a Devils fan. Both will be tweeting like crazy throughout the playoffs. They are knowledgeable and frequently very funny.
Anyways…
I saw this tweet from Wil this morning and it made me laugh, so I’m passing it along (for context, he’s in Vancouver right now filming):
Guy: Sorry you’re a Kings fan.
Me: Sorry there’s 6 games left for you.
Guy: Oh, I’m a Habs fan.
Me: Oh! Sorry there’s 4 games left for you.
I also liked this tweet:
You know what, Canada? I like you. You’re not like the other countries, here on the continent. (With apologies to the Dead Milkmen)
