It seems the Calgary Flames have given up on the season with that spectacular 3-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche in their 79th game of the season. With Jarome Iginla logging the only goal in the game for the Flames, the step up all the players were talking about never seemed to happen. If there was any chance of the playoffs, the Flames squashed all their hopes with that terrible performance.
What’s up with the Flames in the upcoming week? Tomorrow night/Tonight the Flames will take on the 2nd place Vancouver Canucks in Vancouver. Not the greatest hopes for that game. Then the Flames are off until Thursday when they play the Canucks in the Dome. And then the Flames wrap up their season next Saturday against the Anaheim Ducks.
After that? Well there’s some darkness. Maybe a few dragons. And by darkness, I mean no more games. The dragons? Waiting to see who’s going to be resigned or traded come July 1st.
Go Flames Go!
