Flames Look To Continue Spoiler Role Against Ducks

Fresh off a win against a playoff team, the Detroit Red Wings, the Calgary Flames are hoping to continue playing the role of spoilers against the Anaheim Ducks tonight. Tonight will actually be the final game at the ‘Dome for longtime goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff as he plans on retiring from the NHL at the end of the 2012-13 season. It is also the final home game for the Flames in this awful campaign.

Calgary has been officially eliminated from postseason play but has the chance tonight to help out the Sharks and Kings who both currently sit just 5 points behind the Ducks for the Pacific Division lead. However, the Ducks have clinched a playoff spot so it’s just a matter of if they can secure a top three seed.

Anaheim has the series lead so far this season up 2-0 outscoring the Flames 9-4.

Puck drop is at 7:00 PM MT. You can listen to it via The Fan 960 or watch it on SportsNet Calgary and a live web stream here.
