The 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings are next on the list. The Kings play their homes games in downtown LA at the Staples Center. In 1967, the NHL expanded into California by adding teams in Los Angeles and Oakland.
The Stanley Cup in the 2011-12 season was the only in the history of the franchise. Los Angeles has two Conference Championships, no Presidents’ Trophies and one division title from the 1990-91 season. The head-coach of the Kings is former Flame’ GM and coach Darryl Sutter.
Some notable players on the Kings include Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter, Jonathan Quick, Robyn Regehr, Mike Richards and Ben Scrivens.
