Sportsnet Releases Calgary Flames 2013-2014 Schedule + Special Dates

On Thursday , Sportsnet announced they will be broadcasting 60 Calgary Flames games on TV while adding the ability to listen in on all 82 games with Sportsnet 960 The Fan. All Fans will catch 45 of the 60 games on Sportsnet West while the other 15 air on Sportsnet ONE that will include play-by-play announcer Rob Kerr,Charlie Simmer and Host Roger Millions. On another note Hockey Central will kick off every game with a half hour pre game-show along with post-game analysis. Dates to watch during the 2013-2014 Calgary Flames Season .
- The Calgary Flames visit the Boston Bruins and former captain Jarome Iginla on Tuesday December 17th at 5 p.m MT. Jarome Iginla was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins on March 28th in exchange for Ken Agostino , Ben Hanowski and Morgan Klimchuk ( 28th overall pick ). It will be interesting on all levels to see how Iginla responds to the one team he once called home.
- The Calgary Flames will visit the defending Stanley Cup Champions , the Chicago Blackhawks on November 3rd at 5:30 p.m MT.
- The Calgary Flames will host the Columbus Blue Jackets along with former Defencemen Blake Comeau who they shipped to the Jackets in exchange for a 2013 fifth round pick ( Eric Roy ) on Friday October 4th at 5 p.m MT.
- The Calgary Flames will host the St.Louis Blues and former Defencemen Jay Boumeester who they traded in exchange for a conditional first-round draft pick ( Emile Poirier ), a 2013 conditional fourth round pick , Mark Cundari and Reto Berra . This game will take place on Thursday November 7th at 6 p.m MT.
- After a visit from the St.Louis Blues, the Calgary Flames play a back-to-back against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday Novemeber 8th at 7 p.m MT. Colorado swapped David Jones and Shane O’Brien for Alex Tanguay and Cory Sarich .
This upcoming season will be very interesting in many ways with Mikka Kiprusoff contemplating retirement while Karri Ramo and Joey MacDonald battle for Starting Position. This is a pure rebuilding season with hopes to get that #1 2014 NHL Entry Draft Pick and draft either Sam Reinhart or Aaron Eklad . Which would you prefer , and why ?
