The Detroit Red Wings will host the Calgary Flames tonight at Joe Louis Arena. Considering the minor slump that Paval Datsyk and the Wings have been in lately and with the good games that the Flames have been producing, I think this game could be interesting.
Detroit is on a six-game losing streak right now and Datsyk himself is going through a bit of a draught with no points scored since December 10 against the Florida Panthers, when he tallied his last 2 points.
Even though it was a tough loss in Boston, with a final score of 2-0, the Flames worked hard and I don’t feel that the score reflected the type of hockey that was played. The Boston Bruins are a tough team to beat and I feel that the Flames did as good as could be expected at this point in a rebuild.
Tonight, Hudler takes on his former club, the same club who drafted him in 2002 and which he was part of in 2008 during their Stanley Cup win. Hudler has seven points in the last ten games and is doing consistently well this season. Let’s hope he can keep his momentum again tonight.
As well, Brodie has hopes for a few friends and family to attend the game in Detroit tonight so I’m hoping he will be up to the task of producing as well.
With a record of 1-1-1, the Flames have good potential to win this game against the Wings.
Let’s Go Flames!
