Flames Take On Hurricanes Tonight

The Calgary Flames are in Raleigh tonight to take on the Carolina Hurricanes. This is the second meeting between these two teams, the first of which Calgary won in overtime with a goal by Chris Butler on December 12th.
On December 30th, Calgary traded Greg Nemisz to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Kevin Westgarth. This will be the first time since then that Kevin Westgarth will face his former team.
The Flames have lost five of their last six games, but finally broke their shutout streak last game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Jiri Hudler and Paul Byron have been strong on the front line, but just can’t seem to finish off the plays by netting goals. Mark Giordano and Ladislav Smid have been powerful defense, but it’s not quite enough to stop some of the offense they’ve been up against lately.
Curtis Glencross, Kris Russell, and Blair Jones are still out of the line-up tonight. As well, Mike Cammalleri is said to be side-lined with a concussion.
The puck drops at 5pm MT. Follow us on twitter for live-tweeting during tonight’s game.
