The NHL is now officially on a two-week hiatus as the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014 are well on their way. Some of the NHL players have made their way to Russia to join in the Olympic fun while others are taking a two-week rest.

Because we love hockey so much, there’s no way I could take a break from the sport we all adore and love so much. So I’ve decided to cover Olympic hockey until the NHL is back.

I’m a true Canadian girl and Team Canada is in my heart – both men’s and women’s hockey. They will be facing multiple contenders and they are all very skilled and talented teams.

Although the men’s hockey isn’t scheduled to start until Wednesday, women’s hockey is in full swing.

So far, in women’s hockey, Team USA  has taken on Team Finland and won by a score of 3-1. Saturday also saw the debut of Team Canada when they took on Team Switzerland and won by a large margin, 5-0.

Yesterday, Team Sweden won over Team Japan (1-0) and Team Russia took a win over Team Germany (4-1).

This morning, Team USA took over in their game against Team Swizerland with a final score of 9-0. Next up is Team Canada’s tilt against Team Finland, which will be starting really soon.

I will keep you updated on the teams, schedules, scores, players, and standings as the games progress.

Go Team Canada!
