Former captain of the Calgary Flames, Jarome Iginla, is on a hot streak right now for the Boston Bruins. He seems to have impressed even the biggest of cynics who may have had a bad taste in the mouths after the debacle involving Jarome’s trade to the Penguins last year. As I knew he would, Iginla continues to shine on a team that has allowed him to showcase his true talents.
With four goals in his last five games with Boston, Jarome is proving that he will be a key asset in the Bruins run for the cup this season. With their last win against the Washington Capitals on Saturday afternoon, the Bruins have now clinched the division and are heading to a cup run.
Iggy now has 60 points in 74 games with the Big Bad Bruins this year and he shows no signs of letting up anytime soon. Like always, Jarome seems to be in the right place on the ice at the right time and being on a line with Milan Lucic and David Krejci has proven that good things come when chemistry is involved. Lucic, Krejci, and Iginla seem to read each other well and communicate on the ice, which helps them rise above most of their opponents in league. Could this be the year that Iginla gets his Stanley Cup? I sure hope so!
You can read more about Iggy’s achievment on the Boston Bruins website.
