Here’s some recent Calgary Flames news…

If you haven’t seen it already, here is a link to Harvey’s Redemption. What started off an a huge “whoopsie” by Harvey and the Calgary Flames turned into something that this group of kids will never forget – in a good way. Apparently, a lot of young tears were shed when Harvey The Hound, the Flames mascot, neglected to show up for a minor hockey league game in Black Diamond, Alberta. But the Flames and Harvey himself made sure that those tears dried up in a big way.

More good news on the horizon for the Flames franchise. The Regina Pats were swept out of the WHL playoffs by the Brandon Wheat Kings. But it’s not all bad news because Morgan Klimchuk, star forward for the Pats, has been sent to the Abbotsford Heat to help them in their quest for the Calder Cup. Originally from Calgary, Klimchuk earned 74 points in 57 games this season in Regina and has the speed and agility to help Abbotsford take on the most worthy of opponents. You can read more about Morgan Klimchuk on the Flames website.
