It’s official – Johnny Hockey has won the Hobey Baker Award!

The Hobey Baker Award is given to the best player in the NCAA each year and this year was Gaudreau’s turn. And a well-earned win it was. Gaudreau has 80 points in 40 games with the Boston College Eagles this season, including 36 goals and 44 assists.

At 5’8″ and 153 lbs, don’t let his small stature fool you. Johnny can split defensemen like a pro and move in on the goalie without anyone expecting it. His wrap-arounds are sheer perfection, his puck-handling skills are something out of a fairytale, and this kid can skate. He’s creative, smart, and he’s not even 21 years old.

According to Eric Francis via Pat Steinberg on twitter, Gaudreau and Bill Arnold could possibly play for the Flames on Sunday in Vancouver.
