Good morning Calgary Flames fans!

On the opening day of this year’s free agency, the Calgary Flames signed three agents including Deryk Engelland.  You won’t find much guff about the signings of Jonas Hiller and/or Mason Raymond.  Late last night, Flame For Thought re-introduced Deryk Engelland to the family.  I waded through some of the guff about Engelland’s signing and look forward to his contributions to our Calgary Flames this upcoming season and beyond.

One last look at the Sam Bennett poll reveals that out of 160 Flame For Thought family member voters, 66% of you believe Mr. Bennett is going back to juniors.

Have you heard of the Ice Bucket Challenge?  A charitable phenomenon sweeping through NHL players in support of ALS aka Lou Gehrig Disease.  Players post online videos where they are dousing themselves in ice-cold water to get people talking about the neurodegenerative disorder.  After going through the challenge, players then challenge other players.  As you would expect, our Calgary Flames have dived into the Challenge – – even challenging former Calgary Flames to participate.
