Hey everyone! I’m back for today to bring you Len’s Calgary Flames Hot Start To The Day. He’s a busy guy and asked me to fill in for just one day. So here it is…
Yesterday, Len recapped Pat Sieloff’s 2013-2014 season, which was limited due to Sieloff’s staph infection. Hopefully Sieloff’s 2014-2015 defensive season will be a little better for him. If you’d like to read more, HERE is the link.
Today, I’d like to introduce you to Jordan Sigalet, the new goalie coach for the Flames this season. Sigalet’s NHL career may have been a short one, only 43 seconds long, but he relished the time and still seems to have great memories of his debut. As stated in this Calgary Sun article, Clint Malarchuck’s contract wasn’t renewed and the Flames went in search of a new goalie coach. Enter Jordan Sigalet, who has previously been working with the Flames farm team, the Abbotsford Heat, for the past three seasons. So far, Sigalet has worked with Reto Berra and Joni Ortio in the AHL and now he will get to work with Karri Ramo and newly acquired Jonas Hiller.
The Curtis Glencross Invitational Charity Roughstock Event took place this weekend at the Daines Rodeo Ranch, where the event has taken place for the last three years. All proceeds from the rodeo go to support Ronald McDonald House and the Alberta Hockey Foundation. From highly competitive cowboys to music by Jason Blaine, this annual event brings upward of 1500 people who share in the good cause. It took place on Friday, August 22nd, and I’m sure it was just as big, if not bigger than the past few years. You can read more about it HERE.
And that’s it for me today, thank you for taking the time to read my version of the Flames Hot Start Of The Day. Len will return tomorrow.
Go Flames Go!
