Good morning Calgary Flames fans!
Just before bed time yesterday, Flame For Thought re-introduced Johnny Gaudreau. When I first started the “re-introduction” series, Johnny Gaudreau was listed on the Calgary Flames website under “Flames Roster” tab. Earlier this week, Gaudreau was moved into the “Flames In the System” tab. If you take a look at the 14 players listed on Flames Roster tab, who does Johnny Gaudreau supplant to get his playing time?
The response to the above tweet was unanimous: “woohoo”.
Are you a Calgary Flames fan who lives in Sylvan Lake, Clearwater County, Red Deer County, Lacombe County, Ponoka County, County of Stettler No. 5, Mountain View County? Tickets for the September 24th Calgary Flames/Arizona Coyotes Kraft Hockeyville game are now in circulation. Visit the Sylvan Lake Hockeyville 2014 Facebook page for details on how win tickets.
Are you into Fantasy Hockey? NHL.com has listed Calgary Flames defenseman TJ Brodie as one of their “sleepers” for the upcoming season. TJ Brodie scored 4 goals last season, while NHL.com may project him to score 6, I will go out on a limb and project him scoring 8 goals this upcoming season. Here’s the TJ Brodie specific piece:
"The defenseman broke out last season with a career-high 31 points and is poised to hit even higher marks in his fourth full NHL season. No one on the Flames played more minutes than Brodie’s 1,949:06 last season, and only captain Mark Giordano faced better quality of competition, proof that Brodie did not have sheltered minutes with his production. Brodie, who has a cannon of a shot, makes a perfect No. 4 defender on a fantasy team.Projection: 6 G, 31 A, plus-4, 26 PIM, 9 PPP, 110 SOG"
Have a great day Flames fans!
