Good morning Calgary Flames fans!

Who here hopes our Flames can do to the Edmonton Oilers what the Calgary Stampeders just finished doing the Edmonton Eskimos (sweep the season series)?  That leads me to the question from the opening picture to this article, who would you tab as the “quarterback” of our Calgary Flames?

Staying with football for another quick second, the NFL kicks into full gear today.  The following tweeted meme is how I feel about that.

Yesterday on Flame For Thought, the Jarome Iginla trade was brought back into the spotlight and the three players acquired for him were in the spotlight.  An organization never “wins” when trading away a hockey player the caliber of Jarome Iginla.  By the time Mr. Iginla retires, this trade could come out as drawing close to even.

Have you seen the Instagram picture of Calgary Flames 2014 first round draft pick (fourth overall) Sam Bennett with Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby?  Sid the kid with “insert nickname for Sam Bennett“.  Sam the man??  Benny and the jets??
