Day 2 of the Calgary Flames training camp and scrimmages has come and gone. The day started off with some happy news as tweeted by Roger Millions (Host of Rogers Sportsnet’s Calgary Flames televised games):
The day also started with Thursday’s fitness test results being revealed which led to a wonderful “captain obvious” by the Calgary Sun reporter Wes Gilbertson:
Also, news that #Flames captain Mark Giordano led fitness testing results is about as surprising as a traffic jam on Deerfoot.

The theme coming out on Twitter about today’s scrimmage seemed to revolve around the “intensity” and “battling”.
Probably just the stuff Bob Hartley/Brian Burke (watching again from an office space overlooking the rink) wants to see. #NHL

Heated ice time this AM. Garnet Hathaway smoked Pat Sieloff (hard) behind the net, then Sieloff started getting into it with David Wolf.

As big as David Wolf is, he just learned Nolan Yonkman is that much bigger. Ouch. #Flames

At the end of the scrimmages, the Calgary Flames released this tweet about their 1st overall draft pick Sam Bennett and his health status:
"I think one more skate tomorrow with the injured guys ... if all goes well tomorrow, I think I'll be back with the main squad." - Bennett
