Calgary Flames Hot Start to the Morning Vol 65

It’s game day!  Even better, it’s game day at the Dome! Good morning Calgary Flames fans!

The Tampa Bay Lightning are in town tonight and they will be grumpy after losing to the Edmonton Oilers last night.  Our Calgary Flames have played poor first periods almost every game out this young season so tonight’s starting goalie will need to be sharp.  Who is going to be tonight’s Flames starting goalie?

While I am asking questions, who is going to score the Calgary Flames First Goal of the Game?  Play the contest HERE!

If you needed to work yourself to get in the mood for tonight’s game, you can read staff writer Traci Kay’s “Week in Review” article HERE!

Did you know Jiri Hudler only needs 1 point to reach the 300 points for his career? Did you know last season our Flames scored 4 goals against the Lightning in two meetings with Curtis Glencross scoring half of them?

I love the Calgary Herald’s Scott Cruickshank’s summation of the Calgary Flames season:

"From the splendid pairing of T.J. Brodie and Mark Giordano . . . to Mikael Backlund’s overtime heroics . . . to Joe Colborne’s shootout finish . . . to Mason Raymond’s bountiful scoring . . . to Paul Byron’s wheels . . . to Kris Russell’s shot-blocking . . . to Josh Jooris’s debut (and goal) . . . to Johnny Gaudreau’s egg-breaking tally . . . to Lance Bouma’s wilfully battered carcass."

GO FLAMES GO!
