Connor McDavid Buffalo Sabres Bound? Maybe Not! Flames Lose

Over the past 10 games in the NHL, only 6 teams hold seven or more wins during that span.  The Buffalo Sabres are one of those teams.  They did not play like one of those teams being outshot by our Calgary Flames (5-5 in the past ten) 45-19 but walked away with a 4-3 win.

That puts our Calgary Flames at a 3 game losing streak (there longest of the season) and currently making payments to Karma for the some the good luck that launched our season off to such a great start.

By my ledger, the Calgary Flames still owe Karma two more losses like this.

The game marked the return of Brandon Bollig who had a fight and -2 to show for his two games of learning from the press box.

The game also marked the return of Joe Colborne who registered an assist in just over 20 minutes of ice time.

Twitter was flooded with tweets about TJ Brodie suffering through his worst performance of the season.  Twitter also did not have many nice things to say about Karri Ramo.  The wonderful part of being a sports fan, next time we see Mr. Brodie and Mr. Ramo and they perform well, all will be forgiven.  If only the rest of life were this simple.

How ironic is that Zemgus Girgensons had the game tying goal and game winning assist?  The Calgary Flames feature a potential Norris Trophy winner in Mark Giordano and a Calder Trophy nominee but the wonderkid from Latvia plays a big role in extinguishing the Flames tonight.

Short memories boys…we got the mighty Penguins on Friday.  The Pens are 5-3-2 in their past 10.

Go Flames Go!
