I asked a few folks for their input for their three Christmas wishes for our Calgary Flames. Here are the responses I received.
Sydney Fisher (@SydFisher):
My 3 wishes for the Calgary Flames is:
- To get healthy
- To make playoffs
- To win Stanley cup
The Twitter account “MattaronieANDCheese”:
- To get a depth dman to play in the 4-6 role
- Get some playoff depth up front that is NOT Freddie Modin
- Call up Poirier and Wotherspoon
All the way from Brazil, Leonardo Coelho (@Ictherook):
- Byron, stop missing breakaways
- Get rid of Bollig (no more goon mentality)
- Make the Playoffs and get McDavid (Is that even possible? LOL, #wishfulthinking)
The Twitter account @Rayner_JJ:
- A return to playoff hockey and a first round upset of whoever we play. We definitely have the potential to go on a 2004 repeat performance. However I am not willing to sacrifice the future to make this happen now.
- Johnny ‘Hockey’ Gaudreau to light up the 2nd half of the season and win the Calder Trophy as top rookie.
- Flames to add another top 6 defenceman to the club to help in the 5-6 position. We also need to be prepared for an injury to our top 4 D-men.
Thank you gentleman for your answers!
As for me:
- Playoffs! Playoffs! Playoffs!
- A Norris Trophy for Mark Giordano and a Calder Trophy for Johnny Gaudreau.
- To sweep the season series with the Oilers.
