As you can see, the Flames will basically play a home and home with four of its closest rivals in the league. The Battle of Alberta actually gets started on two fronts at the same time to kick off the exhibition schedule. Don’t expect to see soon-to-be number one overall selection Connor McDavid in Calgary for the split squad contest in Calgary as he will be dangled in front of his new home crowd of Edmonton.

The Flames then have two days off before heading to Colorado to take on the Avalanche, followed by a home and home weekend against the Vancouver Canucks. Calgary will welcome Colorado to the Saddledome on September 29th, before wrapping the eight game schedule up with a home and home against the Winnipeg Jets.

Tickets for all four games at the Saddledome will go on sale on September 1st at 10:00 AM. The regular season schedule will be announced later this summer.
