The Calgary Flames schedule for the 2015-16 season was released in full today by the National Hockey League. It was already announced yesterday that the Flames hope opener would be on Wednesday, October 7th when they face the Vancouver Canucks and that will be the first chance we get to see next year’s Flames in action.

Calgary’s longest home stretch will run from March 7 to March 18, when they host six straight contests. They also have a lengthy stay at the Saddledome running from December 22 to January 13 when they will have have eight of nine games on home ice.

The Flames longest road trip runs from January 16 to January 25 when they will play five straight on the road including stops that will see them face the Edmonton Oilers, New Jersey Devils, Columbus Blue Jackets, Carolina Hurricanes and Dallas Stars.

The toughest stretch may come late in the season when Flames head on the road for seven of eight contests. From March 20 to April 2, Calgary will face the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Minnesota Wild, Arizona Coyotes, Anaheim Ducks, Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings while only returning home for one game, and that will be against the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks.

The Flames will play five games against each division opponent except for the Kings who they will face four times. They have at least two games against each team in the league, so you will get a chance to see every visiting player come through Calgary at least once next year.
