It’s well-known that there are plenty of Toronto options on the trade market; Tyler Bozak has the right set of skills that could slot him in as a third line center, at the minimum, with the Calgary Flames.

This trade is a little more left-field; Tyler Bozak has some attributes that’d suit the Calgary Flames, namely the ability to produce offense from the bottom-six.

Calgary Flames scouting staff are known to be looking at the Maple Leafs, and Bozak could well be one of the names they’re throwing glances at.

He’s on pace for a fifty point season, some secondary scoring that really wouldn’t go amiss for the Calgary Flames. The Flames scoring all seems to come from a very narrow core group including Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan and Sam Bennett.

Jiri Hudler has the ability to chip in but isn’t getting any younger and could be dangled if the Calgary Flames sought a Bozak trade.

Would this one be a cheap deal?

Probably not. It’s really hard to see the Maple Leafs looking beyond prospects and draft picks.

Whilst they still need to put a team on the ice next year, it doesn’t seem like there’s any available pieces on the Calgary Flames roster that’d offer upgrades on their current team.
