Good morning Calgary Flames fans and happy family day to all you Canadians! Let’s take a look at Flames news surrounding the internet.
It’s another sunny, yet cold, day in Calgary this morning. Let’s talk about some news. First, we have Calgary Flames goaltender Brian Elliott who let in that goal from center ice in the game against the Vancouver Canucks two nights ago. Man, if the score stayed 1-0 for the Canucks because of that goal, I would have been so mad.
But at least the Flames got a point out of that game. And at least Elliott looked to redeem himself after that goal.
Via Calgary Herald:
"“Not one you want to give up, but you can’t really get hung up on it,” Elliott said afterward. “You’ve got to move on from it, and I thought we did that as a team pretty well.”“I really like the way Ells rebounded,” Gulutzan said after Saturday’s overtime setback on the West Coast. “His save on the power play in the second could have ended our night. To come across in the splits there and make that save equalized any shot from the red-line.”"

Now, let’s move on to other things. Like prospects!
There’s Adam Fox, who’s a defenceman that is currently playing with Harvard. He won gold at the World Juniors with team USA earlier this year. And the Calgary Flames gave him prospect of the week for last week.
Last week, he helped his team earn the Beanpot by getting four points in three games. This is their first Beanpot in 24 years. Fox has 30 points in 26 games this season which leads all NCAA freshmen defencemen. Hey Fox, uh, you think you can be a top four defenceman in the NHL right now? We kind of need one.
