Good morning Calgary Flames fans! The Flames set a new record last night with the win over the Winnipeg Jets. Let’s check out some Flames news.

The hottest team in the NHL right now, the Calgary Flames, set a new franchise record last night with their shutout win over the Winnipeg Jets. They extended their win-streak to nine games which is the longest in franchise history since relocating from Atlanta. If the Flames make it ten games, it will tie their longest win streak when it was still the Atlanta Flames in 1978-1979.

And what’s a post-game win without some post-game comments?

Via Calgaryflames.com:

"“I think you just try to take it one step at a time,” Elliott said. “You’re not really focusing too much on scoreboard watching or anything like that. We’re in a position that we control our own destiny. I think that’s the best way to approach it and not worry about any other teams or what’s going on in the league.”"

Somebody who did well last night? Dougie Hamilton. He had three assists last night and is now eight in scoring among defensemen. He was also a game-time decision.

Hamilton got a cut to the leg during the game against the Montreal Canadiens and would be a game-time decision.

Via Calgary Herald:

"“You know what? Dougie was in a lot of pain playing,” Gulutzan said. “There was a time in the third period where we were going to shut him down. I thought he did a really good job and ended up with three assists. He was effective but played through all of the freezing. He was in some discomfort in the third — nothing that will keep him out. But he could feel it. I thought he did a great job.”"
