Happy Sunday Calgary Flames fans! The Flames will face off against the New Jersey Devils tonight and we have another player who’s been called up.

The Calgary Flames are coming off of two strong wins against two strong competitors. Having two straight wins against Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals and Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins is a good feeling. The Flames will hope to continue their turnaround at home tonight against the New Jersey Devils.

The Flames were struggling on home-ice to start their season. But now, they’re 3-4-0 at home after the two wins against the Caps and Pens. Let’s hope they can get that to above 0.500 tonight.

A name who may not be in the Flames lineup tonight is Travis Hamonic. Yesterday during practice, he left the ice and seemed to be in pain. Nobody really noticed that he left except for Kristen Odland of Postmedia.

However, Glen Gulutzan has still not confirmed if he’ll be in or out of the lineup for today yet.

Via Calgary Sun:

"“We’re going to get it evaluated and see how he is (Sunday),” the head coach said. “I didn’t see the play but there’s nothing to report until our doctors look at him.”“We’ve tightened up,” Gulutzan said. “We’re back to playing 5-5-5 hockey that we were at the end of last season. All four lines are doing that which is helping the ‘D’ and it’s bringing out the strengths of our ‘D’ in breaking the puck out and moving up ice … we’re connected.”"

A big possibility for who will draw in is Matt Bartkowski. But like I mentioned last night, Rasmus Andersson was a healthy scratch in last night’s Stockton Heat game. And the Flames announced this morning that they have recalled him from Stockton.

This is more than likely just a precautionary move, however, he could also draw in instead. But if Hamonic is out, we’ll most likely see Michael Stone move up to that fourth d-man and have Brett Kulak alongside either Andersson or Matt Bartkowski. Let’s hope it’s Andersson.
