Happy Monday Calgary Flames fans! The Flames are now on a three-game win-streak and Tanner Glass was waived this morning. More Flames news here.

The Calgary Flames are coming off a successful week. They went 2-0-0 this last week and are on a three-game win streak. They’re also now 4-4-0 at the ‘Dome meaning they’re finally over 0.500 at home. Last night’s game-winner against the New Jersey Devils came on a shootout goal from Matthew Tkachuk. Tkachuk also scored the shootout winner against the Nashville Predators a few weeks ago. He’s 2/2 on the year in the shootout now. Sean Monahan is also 2/2 on the year in the shootout as well.

Via Calgary Sun:

"“Honestly, I just have three moves,” Tkachuk said after scoring the decisive goal in the breakaway competition in Sunday’s 5-4 shootout victory over the New Jersey Devils at the Saddledome. “I’ve only used one out of my three moves right now, so I’m probably going to have to switch it up soon.”“It’s pretty stressful,” Tkachuk said with a grin. “But I’m way more nervous watching the guys ahead of me and the guys on the other team go than when I’m up.”"

The Flames last night also scored more than two goals in regulation for the first time since Oct. 14. They’ve been slightly struggling with their offence. Mainly their secondary scoring. The Flames have only goals from Kris Versteeg from their bottom-six players. No other players in the bottom two lines have goals and four players don’t even have points (Well, three now since Tanner Glass was waived).

"“You’re talking to a coach — I don’t mind 2-1. I like those games. I think we’re good in those games,” said Flames bench boss Glen Gulutzan. “But yeah, sure, you want the offence to get going and still give up one goal, and that’s hopefully what we get to.”“We’re at Game 14. It’s about time that we gave (Smith) some run support,” said Gulutzan, whose netminder still delivered several clutch stops in Sunday’s 26-save performance. “He’s been bailing us for a long time. It was good for us to support him.”"

The Calgary Flames play the surprisingly good Vancouver Canucks tomorrow night as they continue their home stance.

The biggest piece of news surrounding the Flames this morning is that Tanner Glass has been waived like I mentioned earlier. Take a deep breath, Flames fans. This could be the team preparing for Jaromir Jagr to return tomorrow and needing to waive another player so they can clear by tomorrow morning.
