Johnny Gaudreau’s team wins the SuperBowl (Twitter Reacts)
Congratulations are in order to the Calgary Flames leading scorer, Johnny Gaudreau, for his team winning the SuperBowl! We’ve got some Tweets reacting to it.
Calgary Flames fans, if you’re like me and don’t pay too much attention to the NFL except during the SuperBowl, look no further. The only thing you really need to know is that Johnny Gaudreau‘s team won the SuperBowl LII. Aka, the Philadelphia Eagles. But we prefer “Johnny Gaudreau’s team”.
Yes, we have to make everything about Calgary.
Being from New Jersey but growing up closer to the Philly side, Gaudreau was an Eagles fan. And he probably had a few bets going on for this game as well. Especially with good friend Kevin Hayes, who’s a Patriots fan. But we’re not here to really talk about football. Twitter can be funny sometimes, so let’s look at Flames fans making everything about them and talking about Gaudreau.
First, we have Gaudreau wearing Eagles merch as he walks into the ‘Dome for the Flames vs. Blackhawks game yesterday. We also had him singing “Fly, Eagles, Fly”. So it was quite obvious who he was cheering for.
There was also this Tweet:
Then the Eagles managed to win the SuperBowl, their first ever SuperBowl championship. Any many people (Calgary Flames fans) right away thought about Johnny Gaudreau and took to Twitter to congratulate him/make jokes (we joined in on the fun too).
Two years ago, Gaudreau, Sean Monahan, and Lance Bouma all showed up to practice a little hungover (lots hungover). They were all benched the following day against the Toronto Maple Leafs. There were (obviously) going to be some jokes about that.

Has it hit anybody else that Johnny Gaudreau himself won the SuperBowl? Wow, truly incredible.
