The Calgary Flames end their road-trip tonight vs. the Nashville Predators. They’ll be looking to end these six games on a high note.

The Calgary Flames will finish their six-game road trip tonight in Tennessee. This will be the longest of their road trips for the rest of the season. So far, they’re 3-2-0 on this trip and will be looking to finish on a high note.

These Flames and Nashville Predators have already met twice this season and tonight will be their third and final meeting. The series is so far split between the two.

The Flames will try and bring more energy in the third period tonight. Their last game, a loss vs. the Boston Bruins, lacked lots of energy in the third period. They could barely generate anything, especially on a crucial powerplay when they were down a goal.

"“Puck needs to go in,” the head coach said. “We had nine shots the other night (against the Rangers). We got one (goal) on the Island. (Tuesday) night, I thought we had some looks and had a couple chances early that didn’t go in. I think we’re in the (offensive) zone. We’re generating shots and opportunities. But it just has to go in.“We’d like it to score every night, but it doesn’t.”“We’ve been on the road for a while and want to make sure the energy stays high,” Gulutzan said. “We’ve got a big game (Thursday). I don’t think it’s been a real tough trip. We spent three days in one hotel. The length of the trip … we are moving from city to city (Wednesday). We do well on the road, and I don’t see us dipping.”"

David Rittich will also be making his second straight start. This is the first time he’s playing two in a row in his NHL career. He stopped 35 of 39 shots he faced on Tuesday evening and definitely didn’t have his team to help him out, especially in the third.

With Mike Smith nursing a lower-body injury, we’ll see how much more Rittich will be playing. The Flames said we’ll see what will happen with Smith after the Preds game, so it’s just a waiting game right now.
