While there’s still so much to happen for the Calgary Flames this off-season, with rumoured trades, the 2023 NHL Draft and free agency all yet to come, but it’s never too early to look towards next season, and yesterday, the Flames officially announced the pre-season schedule for next season.

Unsurprisingly, the Flames will once again be sticking to Canada and the Pacific North West, as their 8 games will consistent of battles against the Seattle Kraken, Vancouver Canucks, Winnipeg Jets and of course, the dreaded Edmonton Oilers.

As of right now, no one, likely not even the Flames have any idea what this roster is going to look like by the time September rolls around, but with high end talent, a new Head Coach and potentially some new, young names on the roster, this could be a very fun team to watch come September.

While many fans dismiss pre-season, especially if a team isn’t expected to do well in the upcoming season, but given how different the Flames could look right now, these eight games could be absolutely critical, especially if the Flames unexpectedly make some hockey moves in order to push for a playoff spot again next season.

So what do you think Flames fans? Will you be tuning into these games? Who do you think will comprise the Flames roster by this time? What can we expect from the team in 2023-24? As always, let us know in the comments!
