The Calgary Flames organization has had much on their plate this off-season, and with the Elias Lindholm and Noah Hanifin situation still ongoing, as well as their potential free agent moves, this is a very busy front office right now, but that’s not all they’ve got going on.

Beginning on July 6th, the Calgary Flames Development Camp will take place at WinSport, and today, the organization officially announced the 38 man roster for the event, with plenty of Calgary’s brightest young players taking place.

The forward group is led by former first-round pick Matt Coronato, with 2023 first-round pick Samuel Honzek, Adam Klapka, Topi Ronni, William Stromgren, Jaden Lipinzki and Lucas Ciona also names to watch. Another name to keep an eye on is Cole Huckins, a former Flames prospect that was not re-signed earlier this off-season, and while it’s likely he’s just another body in camp, he could look to impress coaches as he looks to find his way to the NHL.

Defensively, the team will look to former third-round pick Jeremie Poirier to lead the way, with the standout name on the list being 2023 second-round pick Etienne Morin, with Yan Kuznetzov also there to separate himself an make an impression on the NHL coaching staff.

In net, the Flames don’t have many players of note, but with a potential opening being Oscar Dansk at the AHL level this season, this is a chance for all of these goaltenders to potentially step up and make a big name for themselves within the Calgary Flames organization.

So what do you think Flames fans? Who are you excited to see on this list? Is there any names other fans should be keeping an eye on? Who from this list could crack the NHL within the next few years? As always, let us know all your thoughts in the comments below.
