Best Calgary Flames moment of the season: A Zayne Parekh Stunner to End the Season

For much of the 2025/26 season, all of the talk in Calgary surrounded young blue liner Zayne Parekh, whose campaign couldn't have gotten off to a much worse start. Then, he joined the AHL on a conditioning loan following his time at the World Juniors, and since then, things have been looking up for the immensely talented 20-year old.
Over the past few weeks, Parekh has been getting more and more game time, and as a result, his confdience has grown, and with it, the game has continued to slow down for him. That's led to some impressive plays, and while the points haven't come yet, he did put together 4 goals and 7 points over his final 14 games of the season.
Then, in Game 82, Parekh stole the show, scoring what may have been the best Flames goal of the season as he dangled around Kings forward Taylor Ward, finishing off an absolute beauty, flashing the elite level skills that fans have been waiting to see.

It may be some time until we see this type of play from Parekh on a consistent basis, but after putting it all together late in the season, it's easy to see why the organization is so high on the former No. 9 overall pick.
